Youth Ministry Programming

Indian Run’s youth group EDGE (Every Day
God Experiences) meets most Sunday evenings September through May for snacks, games, fellowship, worship and a message targeted to
7th – 12th grade students. We will enjoy worship and fellowship together and then split out into Middle School and High School groups to dive deeper into conversation and the Bible. Our focus
is to spend time together building relationships with each other, while learning more about Jesus and
how we can lean on Him to help cope in our daily lives. All students and their guests are welcome!!!
Indian Run’s Sunday morning connection group for youth grades 5 – 12. Youth and adults facilitate this group that meets during the 9:30am worship service. It is a Sunday school type class with Bible-based messages with time for fellowship and exploring the questions teenagers have about their faith.
Connection Groups
Connection Group relationships are important for any age and students are no different! Within the student ministry program, we try to offer groups that are age and gender specific as well as target the needs and interests of our teens. Link HERE for a list of groups or contact us to get connected!
Our confirmation program is primarily for
7th grade students. Each year, we kick-off confirmation with a weekend retreat which
includes a variety of fun activities along with Bible study and worship. In addition, confirmands will participate in a curriculum including classes and a variety of mission projects. This program provides students an opportunity to explore their faith and confirm their baptism.
Appalachia Service Project (ASP)
Raise roofs, fix floors and build a whole new you! That could be the outcome of a week spent in service alongside other students on this week-long mission trip. While our students do participate in various missions throughout the year, ASP is our largest annual mission project and it is open to all students who are at least 14 years old and have completed the 8th grade. The ASP trip takes place during students’ summer break from school, typically late June or July. We travel to the Appalachian area of the United States and focus on building
relationships while making homes warmer,
safer and drier…plus we have tons of
fun along the way! For more about ASP, check
out their website at
Students are invited to participate in a variety of missions throughout the year including the World Vision 30-Hour Famine, serving breakfast at New Life, helping out at the Welcome Warehouse, visiting homeless camps and serving meals, working in several different food pantries,
an annual Christmas project with Choices
Shelter and more. We are always looking
for new mission opportunities!
Fun & Fellowship
Whether we’re going to concerts, playing laser tag, going on hayrides, canoeing, playing diaper wars or just hanging out watching movies in the youth room, we do have some amazing fun times and we’re always open to new ideas from students! Watch the calendar for upcoming events or contact us for more information on how you can participate.
Adult Volunteers
Our student ministry team includes some
awesome volunteers and we are always looking for more! Our students need to be surrounded by adults who enjoy being with them and love Jesus! If you fit this description and have some spare time to invest in our students, we’d love to have a conversation with you about the many ways volunteers can fit into our program!
